Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - A Great Suspense Thriller
I gave "Watch them Die" five stars mainly because the author kept me glued to the pages from the very very first page until the very last. I didn't want to put it down. The book was a good who-done-it thriller. My only complaint with this author is that I wish he would include more blue herrings to throw the reader off. It was fairly obvious who the killer would be, but that did not spoil the ending. It also didn't have that happy go lucky-everything is wonderful kind of conclusion. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel by Kevin O'Brien and look forward to reading more.

A killer is on the loose. He is stalking her, videotaping her and plotting his subsequent masterpiece murder. Already on the run, she can not go to the police without fear of being arrested herself. With everyone a suspect, who can Hannah trust? Who will be next, and can she find out the truth before the killer makes her his leading lady in his subsequent murder film?

Is it worth buying?

Yes! If you are looking for a very suspenseful thriller(without gore)that will hook you to the story right away and never let up, than you will enjoy this book. If you want a book that will stump the reader and leave you shocked at the ending, than you would not enjoy this book. The suspense level is what makes this book a truly enjoyable read.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Will keep you up late...
Hannah is on the run with her four year old son from an abusive husband. She's settled in Seattle from Wisconsin and is working at a video store. Soon, Hannah becomes the object of affection for three different men, all of whom, she realizes, are following her. While worrying that her husband has found her at last, she begins receiving videos of old movies cued to notorious murder scenes; soon, people Hannah knows, even if only tangentially, start dying in exactly the manner of the movies. This killer has decided Hannah will be his subsequent leading lady. Who can she trust?

I initially had mixed feelings about the book. I thought it was well written and had some great plot twists, but I thought there might have been too many stalkers. There were a couple of times that I was left feeling that a real person, or even Hannah, wouldn't have reacted or made some of the choices that were made by some of the characters in this book. That being said, it was very suspenseful. I was left wondering who the killer was until the last minute. I thought I had it figured several times and it kept me up late one night so I could finish the last part of the book because I simply couldn't wait until the morning to find out. So slight flaws aside, this was a pretty good read.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - An overlooked gem
This book was shockingly good. I have never read any of Kevin O'Brien's books before, but now I plan to read them all.

Hannah is on the run from her abusive husband and the law with her young son Guy when she settles in Seattle. She works at a video store and takes a film class at night, in hopes of one day making a living as a film critic. Although most customers at the video store are friendly, those who treat Hannah rudely start turning up dead! Hannah becomes an unwitting participant in a serial killer's game when he starts leaving her clues about how his subsequent murder will be executed. When it becomes clear that she is being stalked Hannah worries that she may become the subsequent victim.

This book reminds me of early Harlan Coben standalone thrillers such as Tell No One, because there are so many twists and turns in the plot. There are a number of blue herrings, and I was genuinely surprised at whodunnit afterall. This book is an overlooked gem in the crowded thriller market.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - bitter sweet
Watch them Die has an excellent plot and was very suspenseful. I work at an ice cream shop and since the cold has come, not much business. So I read, and this book actually terrified me. someone would come in and I would jump 3 feet high. The ending, however, was dissapointing.
