Along the way, Lily finds out that she is the Chosen mate of Rule, a fact she has some trouble accepting. Lily is still searching for the killer that makes his victims appear to have been killed by a werewolf. There is some nasty dark magic at work and a cult leader that Lily is looking for but she is having trouble locating him. There is lots of action in this book, along with some romance and I found it interesting that all the werewolves in this book were male. In this world, female werewolves don't exist, but the males mate with human woman and have children with them. Lots of action at the end of the book, setting us up for a sequel and I am going to read that book next, it is Mortal Danger.

In most supernatural stories, the author clearly describes the universe. For example, it could be just like this one, except there are vampires. In this novel, there are still a lot of unanswered questions about the world in general, and the characters in particular.
That said, the action is enjoyable, the characters are interesting, the writing alternates between descriptive and direct, and it makes you want to read more. Luckily, there are at least three other novels in the World of the Lupi, which will hopefully be as good as the first.

i really liked this book. the people in it "came" alive for me.
it was all the important thing a book should have, danger, romance, family, suspense, and plot twists just to keep you guessing. in this book, expect the unexpected.
with three book in the series i found that it is necessary to read them in order (don't do as i do).

The plot was boring, the dialogue was cheesy, the characters were flat as a board. I've read my share of bad paranormal books but this one takes the cake. Stay away.

This book gets right into the story, doesn't have any whining at all and has a good amount of action. I highly recommend this book.
