Product Description:
Here, for the very first time in one volume, are two complete novels in Linda Lael Miller's acclaimed New York Times bestselling world of vampires and mortals, lovers and legends.
Forever and the Night introduces readers to Aidan Tremayne, a vampire damned to a bloodthirsty immortality against his will...and Neely Wallace, a mortal woman who arouses a forbidden temptation that could destroy them both.
For All Eternity is the passionate story of Aidan's twin sister, Maeve Tremayne, a beautiful vampire who haunts the battlefields of Gettysburg like an angel of death...and who dares to lose her soul to a mortal soldier.
'Terrific...sure to enthrall romance fans, as well as those who love a good vampire story (and who doesn't?). Miller has created a fascinating, fabulous world populated by mortals and fiends who are all too human. I loved it.' (New York Times bestselling author Jayne Ann Krentz)
'Ms. Miller brilliantly taps into all our deepest fantasies, creating pure reading magic for romance fans in search of the extraordinary.' (Romantic Times)
'Highly recommended.' (Booklist)
'Move over, Anne Rice!' (Affaire de Coeur)

I read all 4 books and fell in love with them!!! Linda Lael Miller is outstanding...I could read her books about vampires and time travel forever. Thank you for having such a wonderful imagination.
People, you won't be let down with this series.

Both of the stories included here fit the above description. The lead characters, especially the vampires, are conflicted about their desires and choices and how those will affect others. The author does not shy away from talk of God, angels, damnation, etc., and it makes for a much more interesting read that the usual stuff. One reviewer in the book called the ending of Forever & the Night "bittersweet." I worried about that through the whole book, only to find it inaccurate. Pay no attention.
Miller's vampire world is gloriously detailed, with a well thought out history, compelling and well-defined characters in both lead and supporting roles, and just enough doubt as to the outcome to retain reader interest. I look forward to seeing them all again, especially Valerian. Superior writing.
The only thing I have against these stories is that Miller tends to wrap things up too quickly, leaving the resolution not quite realistic. Also, I really would have liked to know more about Aidan & Maeve's no-longer-existant sibling relationship. These two things drop the work to 4.5 stars.

Well. First off, these are not your traditional romance-book vampires. Oh yes, here we have a brooding "Oh I'm such an unnatural horror, I don't dare touch her purity" man, issue one; but the damnation in question is taken in a literal sense, with no doubt of the reality of a soul, or of God and heaven and hell and the place in all this of a vampire. These are topics that most romance books shy away from for fear of upsetting the story. This one includes them integrally.
So... not what I expected, but the very first story is very lyrical and lovely. The second starts out more clumsily when you step straight to it from the first.

I absolutely recommend all 4 LLM Valerian relateds. These Books are good fun and very romantic...Each story creates a bigger and more colorful picture of paranormal existance. The characters actually become old friends as you get deeper into who they are and the circumstamces that round them out. As you get more involved you find yourself cheering for the undead and more afraid of the mundane than the Vampires. You'd have to have a stunted imagination not to enjoy these books. Keep up the Good work Linda, you're doing Great!!!!!!!

These are fabulous stories and I am now reading them for a third time. It's wonderful to get lost in the fantasy of vampires and mortals, lust and romance. I recommend all 4 of these. No yawning here!
