MANSION OF MALICE
The brave investigators of Shibuya Psychic Research must unravel a strange mystery. People are vanishing in a peculiar mansion. Eerie manifestations abound from the moment the team enters the house. Stairways lead to nowhere . . . windows open, but not to the outside . . . there are doors in the ceiling . . . and scariest of all, something very sinister is awaiting its subsequent victim. As the disappearances escalate one by one, beware and be forewarned: Don’t wander off alone–or you could be next!

I really love the new format! Although the author notes are sadly removed (the 1/4 panel on the side), the story is really engaging. By far, this is the best vol in the series thus far. The art is greatly improved and more graphic. The story line follows a traditional western "haunted house" plot line, which includes a reference to the Winchester home.
As for the cliffhanger . . . well the reader can predict the outcome but it still manages to leave you in a state of surprise. After all, the preview of vol 7 kinda takes away from the cliffhanger. Therefore, don't look at if you don't want to know.
Highlights: More character development with Mai which leads to a cute scene with Monk-san. More character development with Lin-san which leads to a weird conversation with Mai. Plus, this vol pushes Naru out of the limelight and leadership of the group, which leads to funny sidebar conversations thorughout the vol.
This is by far the best vol so far and could possibly be a stand alone vol (well with vol 7 of course). There would be some background infomation missing, but references to past details sort of makes up for not reading previous vol.
