Editor's Notes and Comments:

Product Description:
In Alyson Noël's newest teen novel, one sister's secrets save the other's life--in more ways than one. Meet fifteen-year-old Echo, a typical teen trying to survive high school without being totally traumatized by boy trouble, friend drama, and school issues.  As if she didn't have enough on her plate, Echo is also still dealing with the murder of her sister Zoë.  Although it's been over a year, Echo is still reeling from tragedy that changed everything.  Beautiful and full of life, Zoë was the glue that held her family together, and although the two sisters were as different as night and day, they still had a bond that Echo can't let go of.  When Zoë's old boyfriend Marc shows up one day with Zoë's diary, Echo doesn't think there's anything in there she doesn't already know.  But as she gives in to curiosity and starts reading, she learns that her sister led a secret life that no one could have guessed--not even Echo.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - You will never want to put is book down

Echo is 15 years old and is in high school. 1 year ago her sister Zoe was murdered by an internet predator. Her parents are still extremely sad, and are over protective of Echo because they are afraid Echo could get hurt. Marc (Zoe's ex-boyfriends) stopped by to visit Echo, and he gives her Zoe's old diary. Echo and Zoe are total opposites, and this diary will help Echo get over Zoe's death, and discover herself. Echo always thought she knew her sister until she read her diary and everything changes. Echo gets a boy friend and does things she never thought she would ever do.
This book was great, you will never want to put it down, and you will want to read it over and over. Saving Zoe written by Alyson Noel was one of the most addicting books I have ever read. I read this book in less than a week and that is pretty good for me it usually takes a couple weeks for me to read a book and this book took a week. This book is 226 pages long and when I saw that I thought that that would take forever to read, but I was really surprised it didn't take that long. Alyson Noel is a great writer she has written many books some of the other books she wrote are: Cruel Summer, Faking 19, and Kiss and Blog.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Addictive!
This is a great book about Echo who's older sister Zoe was murdered a year ago. Then Zoe's boyfriend gives Echo Zoe's diary. At very first Echo doesn't want to read it but then she does and things get interesting. I LOVED this book. You want to keep reading to get answers to all the unaswered questions. It's hard to put down. But Saving Zoe is funny, sad, heart-warming, romantic and very crazy (some of those more than others). But it is a must-read for girls.

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - Teenage Porn
This book is essentially teenage porn: sex, bondage, drugs, date rape, and a brutal murder.

An endorsement on the cover says it is "hilarous". There is nothing funny about this book.

I would never recommend it to anyone. It is inappropriate for most "young adult" readers.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Sad and kind of scary at the same time
This is the kind of book that will literally make you sit at the edje of the couch and read the whole thing in 3 hours!
Saving Zoe is about a girl named Echo, who after a whole year since her big sister's murder receives Zoe's diary from her former boyfriend.
It's a pretty sad book, since it deals with a lot of emotions and grief.
The saddest part is when Echo discovers that she knew nothing about her sister's life and that while she thought Zoe was the perfect child, Zoe felt the same way about Echo. And now it's too late to talk to her about all of those things.
The book doesn't tell details about Zoe's murder, which i was looking forward to finding out more about, but you can kind of guess what happened to her.
Definately a must read .

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Emotional and Beautiful
On Echo's fourteenth birthday, she received the worst present ever: new of the disappearance and death of her older sister Zoë. This pain is hard for Echo to deal with, and she still struggles even a year later.

Echo is now fifteen and just starting high school with her best friends Abby and Jenay. The only hard thing about this is seeing Zoë's old friends and Marc, Zoë's boyfriend. Echo still isn't over the death of her sister. She feels pretty empty around her friends and her new boyfriend Parker. So when Marc gives Echo Zoë's diary, Echo embraces this chance to better understand her sister before her death. Unfortunately, this also leads Echo to imagining she is Zoë, which only messed up her life even more.

Alyson Noël does an incredible job of incorporating Zoë's journal and Echo's high school experiences together and makes the story flow nicely. Echo is sometimes hard to understand, but everything is clarified later. While the story isn't edge-of-your-seat exciting, it is a high worthwhile read is you stick it through, and I was captivated as Echo discovered the truth behind the end of her sister Zoë's life. The story provides a lot to think about involving sisterhood and love. I've only read a couple of books that deal with death, but Saving Zoë is probably one that I will remember the most.

It is pure coincidence that I was listening to the song Light up the Sky by Yellowcard as I read the ending of this book, but I highly recommend you do this too. The song reminds me so much of Zoë and Marc's relationship, and it definitely heightens the emotions of the ending, as music often does in movies.

Saving Zoë appeals to a wide audience, but I suggest you read it only if you are up for an emotional ride. Fans of Sweethearts by Sara Zarr and The Year My Sister Got Lucky by Aimee Friedman will understand the bonds of love between sister and friends presented in Saving Zoë. People who were moves by Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher , Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin, and other books regarding dealing with death will also find this a very worthwhile read.
