Although I'm finding reading Captivating much more enlightening, Your Captivating Heart is a quick read and was very helpful. It gave me some much needed insight. I enjoyed the format of the book as well. It reads much like an inspirational book, but more indepth. I'd recommend it, but also follow up with Captivating.

Bought this for my daughter. She jumped into reading it immediately and finished over the weekend. It called her to seek the desire of the Father's Heart for her life. Now my wife is reading it!

I am not sure I can even put into words what this little book has done for me. I read through the very first chapter and all I could think was "Whoa!" Stasi Eldredge captures so much about who I am and who I was created to be.
A quote from the book says, "The desires God placed in your heart were put there for a reason. They reveal the secret of who you really are and the life you are meant to live. God didn't place these desires in your heart to torment you. No. God placed these desires in your heart to guide you and draw ou into discovering the woman he made you to be, and the life he created you to live." (p. 23)
I know that we are created in the image of God. But it has been a long time since I've really thought about what that means. Stasi basically sums up what every woman desires into three things: romance, adventure, and beauty. All these things are what God desires too. We desire them because we are created in the image of God. This book dives into pursing a relationship with God on a whole new level.
This is a small book. It is what I would refer to as the apetizer. Stasi and her husband John coauthored a book called "Captivating." A friend and I want to read the book together and do a small group sort of thing on that book. I am eager to start it now, but we are waiting until summer. Until then I am rereading Stasi's smaller version "Your Captivating Heart" over again, and may read it several more times before June.
All I can say is that this book is changing my life and my relationship with God. I am convinced it will do the same for you, if you give it a chance.

I bought this book for a gift to my church's Women's Conference (we provide gifts for every woman who attends). Every woman on earth can relate to this wonderful book. This book is beautifully published with many great pictures and captions of a woman's desires and longings for Love, Passion, Adventure, Beauty, Heroine, Romance, Irreplaceable roles, to be seen, sought after, fought for and rescued. It is short and beautifully written just for us. It will truly captivate your heart. It took me a day and a half to read this book only because of our demanding schedules. I cried as I read this book because it revealed my heart's desire and I plan to buy this book as a gift for many occasions to come!
For everyone woman who loves romance movies, books, stories, or anything to do with romance will want to read this book. If you are a fan of any or ALL of Jane Austin's great works like Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility and other author's great interpretations of love and romance, then you MUST READ THIS BOOK!
I highly recommend this book and the original book by Staci Eldredge. It takes you on a journey to love and heightens your passion to walk and abide in God's awesome presence. You really need to read this book. It is Absolutely Awesome! Take the time and treat yourself to a wonderful book that will consecrate your heart for every longing and passionate desire or dream you have had and will have in your life!
