Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - Review For All Four Books
Let's keep it real here.

What started off as an excellent story in volume 1, quickly withers off with absolutely no direction or sense of purpose after volume 2.

I purchased this book based on all the positive reviews, which are correct when talking about Volume 1. But because this is a series with an "ending", it is pointless to read Volume 1, without reading Volumes 2, 3 and 4.

Because I enjoyed Volume 1, I purchased 2, 3 and 4, spending over $40.00 on this series. Wow, what a huge disappointment and waste of money.

After struggling to come up with any ideas for volume 2, the story quickly takes a turn in which the reader ends up disliking all the characters. If you don't like the characters (because they make the dumbest choices over and over and over) you don't care about the story.

I decided to stick with it, because in Volume 3, the reader is promised that everything will "be explained and when it is, it will be beautiful". This gave me a little bit of hope that some type of closure would be given and that some type of explanation would make sense of it all. Instead we are left with an extremely rushed ending that... well, sucked.

Do yourself a favor and save your money. The "Walking Dead" series is similar to a degree, but way more effective with its delivery, writing and character development.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Girls 2
Girls, the new innovative comic series. Girls is one of those comics that you don't put down after one read. It's a series containing 24 issues with dynamic characters, beutiful art, compelling yet wierd story line (in a good way), it's labeled as a sci-fi drama meaning not a conventional hero comic, it's a mature comic for it has nudity, lots of intense language (gave me an alien series vibe.), and some of the most original conceptions for a comic book story I've ever read.

The story continues with the people of pennystown trying to leave after seeing some of the most strange and horrific things any human has ever encountered. The only officer of the town originizes everyone to leave but then they come to find out they're trapped. Now they must co-operate with each other and understand their crisis in order to stay alive. The vol. ends with you demanding more after the intense and gory battles and the search team finding out what has happend to their fallen comrades. Like the other volume they leave you at very climatic point in the story.

-If you've read Girls vol. 1 then no doubt your getting this one and 3.

-The story branchs out very widely with peoples different back-stories, and personalities. People seperate so different events are happening simultaniously.

-If you've never read a comic before this is perfect for starters it's what actually got me into comics in the very first place. And apparently I'm not the only one. People have discussed in the Luna Brothers forums and myspace pages the same thing.

-Girls is also a good read that women can get into. That too has been stated in luna forums, with it's strong female and males roles in the story.

-If sex is one of your more favorite topics then; "Hell yeah!" This is for you! (AND NO THAT DOES NOT MEAN num YOU'RE A PERVERT) The way things happen in Girls is very movie cinematic and well directed, like something softcore.

-As you can see on the cover their art work is great like it would perfectly already fit as a HBO animated mini series.

-I would highly recommend this for people wanting to try out comics just buying anything by the Luna Brothers that being Ultra, and Girls.
