Editor's Notes and Comments:

Product Description:
PSI Spies will take you behind the scenes of the U.S. Army’s formerly top-secret remote viewing unit to discover how the military has used this psychic ability as a tool, and a weapon. Despite the fact that remote viewing was developed by various tax-supported government agencies, including the CIA, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and even the U.S. Army, a majority of Americans still have never heard of this faculty. In the 1970s, with the support of Congress, the Army formed a small unit of remote viewers to spy for America. These soldiers/psychic spies gained penetrating knowledge about a wide variety of subjects. They were consulted to stop a Soviet plot to kill President Ronald Reagan. They mentally prowled the halls of the Kremlin. They probed Iraq’s hidden weapons sites in preparation for the 1991 Gulf War. From insights into our future to the continuing mysteries of UFOs and crop circles, no subject has been immune to the military remote viewers—America’s Psi Spies.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Deeper Understanding Appreciated~~~!!!!
This was such an excellent read. It's another treasure from Mr. Marrs who is so well documented with his work. To believe or not believe? It begs the answer: follow your heart and mind, and keep reading to enlighten yourself. Things yesterday are not what they seem. People want to believe in something. Where they need to look first, in my opinion, is simply in their own mind's backyard, so to speak. Trust yourself and go forward~! I also think it's a good idea to find some great mentors like I did, to help awaken you from the social sleep so many are in. A book cost nothing but your time to go into a library and experience it. They're always there. They never say no. In so many ways they will take care of you. They can heal you. You've just got to get yourself motivated and start your journey~!

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Kind of Scary
For the most part I like the stuff Jim Marrs turns out, and this book is unquestionably better than Alien Agenda. This book is an intriguing and somewhat disturbing story of the government's efforts to develop remote viewing into an espionage tool during the cold war.

Mr. Marrs documents many successes of remote viewing even though the government never really appears to have fully accepted remote viewing's utility. The RV program proved to be successful enough to convince most of the remote viewers that participated in the program of its effectiveness, to the extent that they stayed in the field in their private lives, many to this day.

Mr. Marrs presents a convincing argument that remote viewing really works, until one takes a critical look at bozos like Major Ed Dames, and then one wonders if Mr. Marrs is really telling the whole story.

Anyway, I liked the book and I would highly recommend it to those interested in the subject matter.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - A deftly written, thoroughly fascinating, informed and informative reading
'Remote Viewing' is the term used to describe a psychic or paranormal ability to see places and events far removed from the normal line of physical sight. This would such psychically gifted men and women the perfect reconnaissance and information gatherers on an enemy's operations. In short, it would make them the perfect spy. What is not generally known is that the Russians during the height of the Cold War tried to develop a remote viewing program. When the American military discovered this, they embarked on a similar program. Award-winning journalist Jim Marrs lays out the entire story of this little known aspect to the Cold War confrontation between the Russians and the Americans in "Psi Spies: The True Story Of America's Psychic Warfare Program". He reveals how the U.S. Army trained men and women to try to psychically acess secrets of Soviet command centers, missile complexes, biological warfare centers -- even the Kremlin itself. Also included are the stories of how skilled remote viewers learned about the fate of the Mars Observer that was 'lost' as it entered orbit around Mars; gained knowledge of a series of mysteries (the most prominent of which was the assassination of President John F. Kennedy); and even applying remote viewing to the legendary Loch Ness Monster. Of special note are the tips on how the reader can develop remote viewing abilities themselves! "Psi Spies" is a deftly written, thoroughly fascinating, informed and informative reading recommended for anyone with an interest in Metaphysical Studies and 20th Century American Military History.
