Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Another job well done !
If you haven't read Katie Maxwell before, you should definitely give her a try! I have not only read Got Fangs? and Circus of the Darned, but I have also enjoyed her adult books, written under Katie MacAlister.

Ms. Maxwell/MacAlister is truly someone to be admired! Her books are creative genius that make the reader come back for more. I can honestly say that out of all the paranormal authors I enjoy reading, that she is at the top of the list!

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Not Bad
Not a bad follow up to Got Fangs. Not as great, but still worth the read. Quick read though, so if your looking for a book that will take awhile, this isn't the one. I liked it though.

Rated by buyers 2 out of 5 stars - What a bummer..
I read the very first book, Got Fangs?, a few weeks prior to reading this book. I loved the Got Fangs, and thought it was a great, fun story. But I have to say, this sequel scked. The plot line was definitely on the boring side, Fran seems more like a typical immature teen - over dramatic - and Ben, her vampy boyfriend, is annoying here. Fran still doesn't seem sure about having Ben as her boyfriend; i was hoping they would flow well together in this book, but they didn't. they don't seem to really get along much, except for the attraction being 'Beloveds' creates, i guess, which makes me wonder why they are together ? Also, Fran's upcoming date("An actual real date") with Ben is made into such a ridiculously big thing that it became unrealistic. Maybe some people really are like that, but I can't relate to it. I mean really, practically everyone gives her advice for "the big very first date". When Fran summons a goddess (sry, i forget the name), even the goddess gives her advise on her date (which, by the way, we never get to read about because the book ends before the actual date), as well as one of the Vikings (although i have to admit that what the viking said made me laugh).
Anyway, maybe 2 stars is a bit unfair, but that's what i would personally rate it.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Cute
I am an adult and this book was great, I am sure teens would love it too!

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Fangs for the vikings....
Fran has finally decided that her mother's idea of traveling with GothFair isn't such a bad idea. That could have a lot to do with Benedikt, her vampire boyfriend, especially when he returns after having been MIA for weeks. In addition Tibolt, the Swedish star of the Circus of the Darned which is temporarily traveling with GothFair, is a hottie who makes all the girls, including Fran swoon. However, when Tibolt entrusts Fran with a ancient viking necklace things start to get a little wonky. Soon Fran finds herself acting as Goddess to a clan of warrior ghosts intent on pillaging the local McDonalds and searching for her beloved horse, Tesla, who has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Will Fran be able to get everything back to normal before the most monumental event of her young life, her very first date with Ben, is supposed to happen?

I really liked Circus of the Darned and thought it was quite a good follow-up to the story Got Fangs? although everyone's over eager preoccupation with Fran's very first date, from her mother, to the Gods and Goddesses of viking legend, was a bit perplexing. As always with Katie's stories (whether they be under the surname of Maxwell or MacAlister) I laughed outloud at least once or twice. I'm hoping that in the subsequent book we get to learn a little bit more about the situation that Benedikt seems to be involved in which was briefly alluded to in this story. I would definately recommend both Got Fangs? and this sequel to anyone who enjoys vampires, or just a cute story and a good laugh.
