TANYA (M. NIX) said it all in her review (and I, too, would like to see Doug get his own book.) Wonderful characters, even the secondary ones. Witty dialog. Some hysterical scenes. Loved Reed, a strong, smart, sexy guy. Loved Gabby, a strong, smart, sexy lady. I have a new favorite author in Ms. Dimon. Watch out when the sparks fly. A HATE-TO-PUT-IT-DOWN book. HILARIOUS FROM PAGE ONE. Even better than YOUR MOUTH DRIVES ME CRAZY. Can't wait for her subsequent one.

I absolutely adored Ms. Dimon's very first book, "Your Mouth Drives Me Crazy." Loved it so much, in fact, that I pre-ordered this book without even knowing what it was about. And despite what I'm about to say, I'm truly looking forward to her subsequent release because this woman can write. It takes talent to combine a bit of mystery, hot sex, witty banter along with some laugh-out-loud fun.
I'll issue a couple warnings here: if you want to know what the book is about, read the other reviews. If you don't want me to ruin it for you by pointing something out that might not otherwise notice, quickly hit your back button. It's not my intent to ruin a great book for anyone, but rather hope and pray these thoughts get passed along as helpful criticism so that future books are even stronger and better than this one.
No doubt, Ms. Dimon knows how to deliver on dialogue. This is her strength; creating real characters who say real things. EXCEPT for one relentlessly, annoying habit that occurred in this book that ended up driving me mad and taking away from the enjoyment of the story. Maybe it was just me; maybe I'm PMSing, but either way, I hope it doesn't happen again.
The author forgot how to use contractions. Yes. Remember those? When "do not" becomes don't...when "would not" becomes wouldn't..."cannot" becomes can't and so on and so forth.
It would be one thing if a particular character had a tendency toward speaking with this "extra emphasis," or if he/she had a foreign accent. But unfortunately this way of speaking happened with nearly all the characters. It just got so mentally aggravating because people don't talk that way unless they're making a strong point. The problem kicks into gear in chapter 9 and truly doesn't stop until the end of the book. All the do nots, will nots, would nots, have nots, I ams and you ares nearly made me dump the book.
Thankfully the author didn't do it in her descriptions; for the most part it was a just a dialogue thing. In her acknowledgements section, she mentions someone who read the initial draft and I'm surprised that she didn't catch this little flaw.
All of that being said, I honestly intend this review to be helpful to the author. Keep up the great work and I promise; you will have a large following of readers!

Right Here, Right Now by HelenKay Dimon is a delightful gem.
Gabby Pearson could not believe her ears, she was being dumped. Granted her and Reed hadn't been dating that long but she thought they had the beginnings of something great. If being dumped wasn't bad enough the subsequent day Reed appears at her work wanting to win her back. Like that would be a walk in the park.
Reed Larkins didn't want to drag Gabby into his world. Its not a calm or easy being a government agent. Breaking it off seemed the wisest thing to do at the time, even though Gabby stirred him like no other woman. Now his boss has made Gabby his newest assignment, he is told to watch her 24/7. Reed has to do some serious apologizing to get back in Gabby's good graces.
Gabby and Reed start a tenuous relationship, with Gabby not knowing all the facts. Will she forgive him when she finds out the truth? Turns out Reed isn't being told everything by his superiors. Can he protect Gabby and himself? He is willing to risk it all to keep Gabby Safe.
Gabby and Reed start off on the wrong foot but soon get back on track. Their way back is hot and sexy. Neither thought the other felt the deep passion that they do. Delightful for us they are so wrong.
Right Here, Right Now is a fast paced, wickedly sexy read. Gabby and Reed are truly enjoyable to read about and watch them fall in love.

Gabby is planning to take things to the subsequent level with super hunky nerd Reed the night the big buffoon calls off their relationship. She is stunned and when he says that it is due to the fact he needs more excitement. Excuse me. Well, about the time she poured her wine over his head, she could almost see straight again.
Reed can't believe the fire in the little woman, and an accountant at that. Hmm, and where was his back up when he was being assaulted in a nice restaurant? Probably laughing himself into a stupor. Now that he though that he had needed backup anyway. It was more like someone just spying on his conversations. Well, he did his job. He kept her safe while gathering intel that she wasn't involved in anything shady. Now he is really in a bind, as he is told she is still his assignment and he needs to get back together with her. How is he going to do that? It was hard enough avoiding her with that wide smile and those shapely curves. Heck, his partner refers to her as "Legs". Can he even grovel enough to get her to take him back?
Well, if she takes him back, it will be on her terms, and if he brings food, all the better. But why does he never seem to be at work? Her co-workers at the secret branch of the government don't think he is all on the up and up. What will happen when he starts to think the same thing about her co-workers?
When you sit down to read Right Here, Right Now, you need to be prepared. First, you need a box of tissues, so that when you start laughing so hard you cry, you are all set. Second, you don't want any soda or milk near you. You so don't want to repeat those laughing so hard soda or milk comes out your nose incidents, do you?
Ms. Dimon takes a super-humorous look at the world of business intrigue and just how funny some of it could be, looking in from the outside. She has created a group of loveable, funny characters (I would love to see Doug get his own story) and with winning dialogue has made a story that I can't wait to recommend to everyone I know. After repeatedly telling my husband why I was laughing out loud he said "I guess that one will be Joyfully Recommended", and I wouldn't want to disappoint him. Therefore Right Hear, Right Now is Joyfully Recommended and I look forward to Ms. Dimon's subsequent book!

Reed Larkin informs his girlfriend Gabby Pearson that he no longer wants to see her. He further explains in the restaurant that "It's not you, it's me". She is shocked as she thought they were making it and his trite general rationale stinks. Gabby shows her appreciation by dumping her drink on his head before leaving; her prime regret was they never slept together.
Reed accomplished the hardest task of his life when he ended his relationship with Gabby, whom he wants with every cell in his body. Making matters worse within moments of receiving a wine shower, his handler informs Reed that he is to seduce Gabby who allegedly has the information they need. He has one day to persuade her to join him on the sheets, but Gabby is beyond outraged with him and he has to agree she has the right to be..
This is a fabulous romantic suspense thriller as operative Reed cannot believe that just after his head tastes her wine, his handler orders him to seduce Gabby. That premise makes for an entertaining battle of the sexes as the clock is ticking and he has to undo the damage he caused when he dumped her. Making things even harder for Reed is that he is halfway in love with Gabby. HelenKay Dimon provides a fun gender war in which the prime suspense element comes appropriately late as RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW is a two person combat tale.
