Barton covers the basics of truth, technique, Stanislavski, warm-ups, physical life, vocal life, rehearsal etiquette, vocabulary, as well as hundreds of useful exercises. In addition, there is a valuable list of scenes appropriate for student actors. My college actors grow tremendously through the application of Barton's simple, clear definition of the basics.
