Product Description:
In her mid-30s and recently widowed, Sky Taylour left the big city for Pigeon Cove, a hamlet off the Massachusetts coast. Sky is re-adapting to single life-with a newspaper column and her knack for creative cleaning increasingly in demand. Then she discovers a patron of the Millwood Inn permanently checked-out.
Now Sky's juggling the police chief's questions with advances from the newest-and handsomest-crime reporter in town. But if she wants to clear her name, she has some scouring to do.

Still trying to get through this book but keep putting it down. A little slow, stagnant.

Not the most engaging book of its type - the themed cozy - but fun and quick. Guess I don't find the cleaning tips all that engaging. Pretty well plotted and well drawn, engaging characters. I will read the subsequent one. I'm betting they get better over time. Fewer feather dusters and more dialogue, please!

I read this book while traveling, and it fit right in with my other cozy mysteries. (Daheim, Hart, Mott-Davidson and others) I always catch a few misprints, as I read, and generally find times when I disagree with word usage, punctuation, and "just plain" grammar, but I don't hold those against the author. This book was a pleasant choice for a quick, fun adventure, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys "escape fiction" as I definitely do. I will be looking forward to the subsequent book in what I hope will be a great new series.

This is a fun little book that take a bright look at life in a small town. You'll probably recognize some of the characters. The cleaning tips are an extra bonus. I read it all in just two sittings. I'll be looking for Sky Taylor's subsequent mystery.

I found Scene of the Grime to be tedious reading. I wanted the
story to continue without all the cleaning tips, though I
realise that with a book subtitled "A Grime Solvers Mystery"
there had to be some cleaning involved.
I enjoy reading cozy style mysteries, it's unfortunate that
this is not one of them.
