Karen Rose never disappoints, and this was another superb effort from her that was impossible to put down until it was finished.
However, I felt the need to take one star away because of the author herself. If you visit her website, the synopsis for the subsequent book in the trilogy gives away the killer's real identity in this book -- and worse, it's right on the front page, the very first thing you see when you go to the site. This definitely takes some of the suspense out of this book, since you already know who the killer is before you even start reading it. Ms. Rose really should fix that so she doesn't take away from the enjoyment her fans get out of reading her great work.

I believe Karen Rose is one of the better mystery writers of our time. Her writing is discriptive,colorful and full of punch! I will certainly be on the look-out for her subsequent book. Fritzie Edwards

Ok, this was my very first read of Karen Rose. I loved the book! Loved the characters, everything about it. The gore was sometime a little much, but I don't know if the "serial killer visualization" (for lack of a better description???) would have been near as good without it! This book really had me engrossed and involved in the plot. A little freaky to read when you are by yourself, but that's the best part! A worthwhile read.

I will devour every book she writes...she's that good. Her murder/romance genre of book is intense, hot and something that I can't put down...no matter what the topic is. This woman knows how to write a good mystery with some hot sex thrown in (and in most cases I skip the sex scenes just to get on with the great story).
