Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Just so-so
This book was just OK. I liked the hero but I wasn't that crazy about the heroine. She was kinda grumpy and I didn't feel she had a good sense of humor. I liked that she was part of the FBI but it would have been great if she could have kicked someone's butt or something. I didn't like the side stories and found myself skipping ahead to the parts that dealt with the main characters.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Great, but Sophy's character didn't sound like a child
With the exception of Julie Garwood, very few authors make children TALK like children. The dialogue from Sophy sounded like an adult; no child talks that way.
That said, the book was very interesting with great characters; and it was nice to have 2 great sexy men in one story.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - A great, steamy, adventurous book!
Christina Skye really know how to write em'. The fact that Summer (the female F.B.I agent) can fight the bad guys and look good in a leotard is a great thing about this book. Not only is Gabe (the Navy SEAL) strong and powerful but Summer is too. I, personally like books were the woman can fight back too, and not just be another victim. The other characters in this book are also very dimentional and round. This book will keep you guessing to the very end, so read it!

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Slow Moving.......
Summer Mulcahey, FBI, is going undercover as nanny to the daughters of San Francisco Assistant D.A. Cara O'Connor, who has been receiving death threats. A career criminal is threatening the O'Connor family, and someone is trying to blackmail the DA with an old scandal. Summer knows nothing about kids, ballet lessons, or teenage angst.

Gabe Morgan, gardener, a.k.a. Navy SEAL, is also on the job, providing extra security as a personal favor to the DA's fiancée, Tate Winslow, Presidential hopeful. Gabe is recuperating from a training mission gone wrong, and uses the time to keep an eye on the family within. Summer thinks Gabe is too efficient and Gabe thinks Summer is a little too savvy for a nanny.

When the threats escalate, Summer and Gabe must team up to solve the puzzle before someone is killed. Things really start to escalate with a trip to Mexico by Summer and Gabe to meet with an informant. Trust is a difficult thing for Summer, who was wounded and her partner killed on a stakeout, and she is currently persona-non-grata with her fellow agents in Philadelphia. Ishmael "Izzy" Teague is called in by Gabe for his hacking and computer skills, to assist the pair in their Mexican investigation. But even with all three on the job, the O'Connor family is in trouble.

This is a fast paced book full of action and two simultaneous plots involving Summer and Gabe and Cara O'Connor and Tate Winslow. The children's characters, as well as other secondary characters are delightful and memorable and are integral to the story.

However, this book just didn't do it for me. The story started off rather interesting, the heroine catching the very sexy hero in her shower, beautifully naked, but it was as if the chemistry deteriorated after that. The chemistry between Tate and Cara is electric and sustained throughout the story. It was a much more interesting storyline for me; in fact Tate and Cara take center stage throughout the book. The breakup/reunion scenes were very predictable as I have read them in previous CS books. I hope the subsequent Code Name books are an improvement. C

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - Was I reading the same book?
I know that in general, the romance novel is not the deepest novel you can pick up, but that is not why we read them. This is my very first experience with Christina Skye. In reading all the other reviews, I'm confused by the enthusiasm. I can't enjoy a book if I don't feel that the people in it are even remotely real. These conversations don't sound like anything I've ever heard between two people, unless it was in a very bad high school play (the same thing happens in Joanne Fluke's Hannah Swensen mysteries). I've found several best selling authors with huge fan bases around books that have juvenile or horribly stilted dialogue. Honestly, go back and re-read some of these conversations and tell me that they sound real.
