Product Description:
He lives life in the fast lane and she's along for the ride-with no brakes....

Jamie Swift has one priority in quiet Beaumont, South Carolina: running the local newspaper. Romance runs second. But with the arrival of her silent partner, the notoriously mysterious and sexy Maximillian Holt, Jamie's life gets shaken up. Max claims he's here to give his brother-in-law a vote of confidence. A former wrestler, Frankie Fontana's now taking his shots in the political ring. Beaumont could use a mayor with scruples, but what it gets is a crime-and what Jamie gets is a story that's taking her for a ride on the wild side, complete with two assassins, a washed-up stripper, and an insane poacher. Between a spray of bullets and a fast getaway could it get any more romantic-or dangerous? Max and Jamie are betting their lives on a long shot.

Amazon.com Review:
Mysterious and sexy, Maximillian Holt moves into Jamie Swift's life like a steamroller. She's the owner of a small town newspaper and he’s a notorious, brilliant billionaire--what could they possibly have in common? Apparently quite a lot, for besides their mutual affection for Max's airhead sister Deedee and his investment in Jamie's struggling business, they share an explosive sexual chemistry. Unfortunately, Jamie's already engaged to be married. But when someone sprays her office with gunfire, only Max can save her. Now she'll have to rely on him to sort out the tangle of embezzlement, mayhem, and attempted murder that threatens her bucolic world of Beaumont, South Carolina. But if they unravel the mysteries and manage to stay alive, is there any hope for a shared future between a cosmopolitan guy committed to tracking down evil and a small-town girl who just wants a normal life?

Authors Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes have paired up to create a fast-paced, wacky novel filled with eccentric characters and southern ambiance. In the time-honored tradition of such detective couples as Nick and Nora Charles (The Thin Man, After the Thin Man) the hero and heroine trade quips and parry sexual innuendos with panache while easily deciphering clues and adroitly coping with danger. Readers will thoroughly enjoy this Jamie Swift/Max Holt adventure, the very first in a new series from this author duo. --Lois Faye Dyer

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - Max, sexy??
Sorry, I just couldn't buy it. He's the kid-genius from "Full House." We're flash-forwarding some twenty-years (I would have LOVED to know what happened to Nick and Billie), and he's hot? No. I just kept thinking of the kid from the very first book. Perhaps, it's different if you've never read the very first book. The characters didn't appeal to me at all either. Sorry. Some people really seemed to like it, but not this reviewer.

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - A Disappointment
I'm very disappointed with this book. The plot was ridiculous, boring and convoluted. The characters lacked any kind of chemistry, and were completely uninteresting. I don't know how Janet Evanovich can do such a good job with her Stephanie Plum series, and be so consistently disappointing with her other work.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Light humorous read with glamour to spare
Small town life is stereotypically laced with gossip and scandal, as is the setting for this light mystery/romance. The characters are what make this story, even if one of them is a futuristic car's computer. Evanovich gives us a powerful, wealthy and very skilled outsider, his dramatic but good hearted big sister, a few professional wrestlers, a crazed Vietnam veteran, and the heroine, a struggling but plucky newspaper owner. Throw in attempted murder, swamp alligators, a snobbish Patrician criminal, and there are enough tangled relationships and conflicting wishes to keep the pages turning. The plot may be predictable and the suspense contrived, but the unusual folks who people these pages keep the reader entertained.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Fun and Laughs
Why 5 stars? Let me start by saying that I don't normally read this type of book, but I needed something light and funny and decided to give the "Full" series a try. For the type of book that it is, I loved it. Some might call it stupid and simple, and they wouldn't be wrong. Is it believable? Of course not. But it is a fun ride, filled with adventure. Surprisingly there wasn't as much romance as I was expecting, but maybe that is to come in future books, as these characters seem to continue. We very first met Max in Full House. Then he was a 16 year old genius who didn't know how to focus his intelligence. Max is all grown up now and has overcome his adolescent angst due to the help of his cousin Nick, who was the main character in Full House. One of the characters who stole the show so to speak in this book was Muffin, Max's computer. I can't believe I was entertained by a computer that talks. Full Tilt is light, funny, escapist reading.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Full series
Another one of Janet Evanovich's great novels. I have very much enjoyed her "Stephanie Plum" and "Full" series of novels. There is always mysteries, a little romance, trouble, odd predicatments, and page after page of exciting adventure. She has yet to fail me, I find myself waiting for a day off to start the novel because I know that I won't put it down till it's done. Thank you :)
