Editor's Notes and Comments:
Product Description:
'Leadership: Enhancing the Lessons of Experience, 6/e' consists of 13 chapters and three leadership skills sections integrated into the text. The authors Hughes, Ginnett, and Curphy draw upon three different types of literature - empirical studies; interesting anecdotes, stories and findings; and leadership skills - to create a text that is personally relevant, interesting, and scholarly. The authors' unique quest for a careful balancing act of leadership materials helps students apply theory and research to their real-life experiences. The sixth edition has been thoroughly updated in virtually every chapter.

Yes, this book is used at the Naval Academy. I am a Midshipman there who has just finished my junior leadership course, and I HATE THIS BOOK. It's written for academics and theorists, not practitioners. If you removed the parenthetical citations, the page count of this book would probably be cut in half. I'm sorry that I don't have an alternative for you, but if you actually want to learn how to lead people, the very first step is not buying this book.

This was a requirement for my MBA studies. I found the book very informative, well structured, very clear and to the point, with sufficient examples provided to explain the concepts. Leadership is a very broad and deep subject and the authors have managed to make the subject more interesting and engaging. I gained a lot of insight in my own leadership style and was able to identify points that need to be strengthened or revised in my own strategy. I recommend the book very much to all who are interested in leadership

The seller has refused to return my emails as well as failed to send me my purchase. I have asked for a refund and they have failed to do that too. Therefore, they made easy money without providing me the item I purchased for my current college course. I totally do not recommend purchasing any item from this seller. If you do, you take on the risk of not receiving anything!

Haven't actually used this book yet for my class, but I'm sure it's a great textbook.
