Product Description:
Despite more power and choices than ever before, women are still angry -- that's not necessarily a bad thing, as anger is what continues to open the door for change. In this collection, 15 women speak boldly and passionately about choices they've made -- about sex, children, love and work -- and explore what's working and what is not. Their essays -- always provocative, honest, witty and wise -- are the culmination of the lessons of the past two decades, the ‘me' years and the therapy years, the years that have taught women to express themselves and acknowledge their needs. As celebratory as they are critical, these brilliant essays reflect the truth about life.

This audio book was pretty good; entertaining on a long drive. However, it would be boring to a man - just as an FYI and heads up (in case your hubby or boyfriend plans to be in the car). It has a very feministic slant on things, even for those authors who proclaim not to be such. Overall, I enjoyed the book and only wish the speakers had not sounded as if they were "reading" so much from the book, especially considering that they are the authors!

Incredible book: superbly written essays and... true and relevant! a lot of stories about why you're better off listening to your inner wisdom and needs, and how expectations can be hard to deal with.

I saw a review of the book in USA Today and was compelled by the title as well as the review. I was about to fly across country and wanted a book....I was so captivated by this book, before I landed upon my return, I had read the entire book..!!I might add, my trip was only over a weekend! You will be able to relate to many of the essays(chapters)in the book. If you finish the book on a Sunday, going to work on Tuesday is a whole lot brighter...GET THIS BOOK..it's also a great gift.
