Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Fantasy and mystery
Lily and her mother, Arden, come to stay in the old mansion that has been in Arden's family for 100 years. Arden is a bit flighty and she drags Lily to a new place every time she breaks up with another boyfriend.

Strange things happen in the creepy old house that only Lily notices, but can't explain. Lily, though she does not believe in the supernatural, soon realizes that the house is haunted. Lily and her new friend, Vaz, set out to discover what the ghosts want.

A cute mix of fantasy and mystery.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - A fun ghost story with likable characters
Lily's mom has uprooted them and moved, again. This time Lily and her mother have moved into Uncle Wes's house in Cape May. But this is no ordinary house. It's big and the furniture is uncomfortable. Not only that, but weird things are happening. A face appears in the window, phone calls with no one at the other end and more.

Things start to look up when Lily meets Vaz - the cute Greek boy in town. But when Vaz tells her that she has ghosts, Lily has a hard time believing it. But she really does have ghosts!

I'm not really one for 'ghost stories' but this is a fun, ghost story with a solid human element to it -- maybe even a lesson or two. The twists and turns are good enough that I didn't see some coming. I think I would have liked a few more clues to the mysteries earlier in the story. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the characters so much that they really made the story move for me.

Lily is a quirky, independent spirit not too easily taken in by Vaz's good looks. Vaz is a good-hearted and true blue friend. The supporting characters of mother, uncle and librarian are all crafted enough for us to really know them. Then there are the ghosts - they are a quirky bunch but they really add to the fun.

I recommend this book for those who can suspend disbelief long enough to believe that the ghosts really are trying to tell Lily something. There's a few laughs in this story. So if you are looking for a ghost story that is all doom and gloom, you might want to look elsewhere.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Intriguing
This story was very entertaining, but at very first the only thing that kept me interested was when the book switched over to the ghosts' point of view. I was bored with the Lily's background story that is overused too much. This book more and more grabbed my interest as I was slowly trying to untie the mystery that becomes more and more sticky and complicated. It was well worth reading, and it is the kind of story that makes you want to reread it over again to get a better picture of everything that happens at one time or another throughout the book.

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Lily's Ghosts
Lily a thirteen year old girl, who's been dragged from city to city had finally settled, atleast for now.A mysterious uncle comes and eats dinner with her mom and herself, but always says it's cold, and goes near the fire. Lily doesn't know what to make of him, but meanwhile she's preoccuoied who's her family. She soon gets so desperate that she asks her uncle. He tells her about his brother who dies from a fire, killing himself. And soon after that, his mother dies hanging herself from the living room sobbing for her lost son. Lily soon makes a friend( atleast she thinks so)who helps her uncover the truth of Max's death. Can they do it before Uncle Wesley kills them or worse? Read to find out!
